Maha Rabah Khalil, EA

Rabah Accounting Services has been in existence since January of 1984. Prior to the establishment of my firm, I worked for two other CPA firms for over 15 years. My firm specializes in small to medium size businesses. I graduated from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan and received my B.S. with concentration in accounting.

I currently employ one full time accountant, one full time bookkeeper, and a part-time intern.  My firm prepares compiled financial statements, payroll services, tax returns for individuals, businesses and not-for-profit as well as various other bookkeeping services.  We have clients in several different states and the majority being in Michigan.

Our client base has increased over the years due to referrals.  My firm specializes in high-end restaurants and fast food establishments. Our firm has been known to turn loss businesses into profitable ones. Also, we do several pharmacies, lawyers, doctors, manufacturing and other services type businesses.  We are very service oriented with our clients and care about each and everyone.

My firm also associates with two other CPA firms when necessary to prepare and/or audit our clients for various requests e.g. being rent audits for property owner etc.

During 2011, I prepared for and passed the Enrolled Agent Exam.  I received my license from the Internal Revenue Service in July of 2012. Furthermore, in 2014 I graduated and became a Fellow with the NTPI (National Tax Practice Institute) which means knowledge to represent taxpayers in front of the Internal Revenue Service in various tax matters.

I did volunteer work for my son’s school (St. Mary’s Prep. Orchard Lake, Michigan) as well as being Chairwoman of our Parish Council (Basilica of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Livonia, Michigan) for the years 2009 and 2010.  I have chaired and worked on several committees for fund-raising projects and I am on the board of the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan. As part of my involvement with IAAM, I was a speaker for the Enrolled Agent Seminars that our organization put on.

I have been married for twenty-six years and have three son’s one in college, one who graduated law school and is now an attorney and one who is studying for the EA Exam.
